Casey Van Tol took the win in Outlaw 8.5 at the Pacific Street Car Association’s Magnafuel Las Vegas Nationals race at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend. Casey piloted George Raygoza’s 1968 Nova to the winner’s circle in an all-Hughes Performance Outlaw 8.5 finale against fellow competitor “Shirtless Chad” McGee. Victory came courtesy of a 5.406 E.T. at 136.48 MPH. Casey was also #1 qualifier for the weekend with an earlier 5.392 pass.

Automotive Engine Specialties supplies the horsepower in George’s Nova thanks to a nitrous-assisted 525 cubic inch big block Chevrolet engine equipped with electronic fuel injection. A Hughes Performance Heads Up Radial Tire series billet 10″ torque converter multiplies torque to one of our XTH-series 2-speed transmissions. The little 26″ x 8.5″ slicks put the power to the ground courtesy of Calvert Racing Suspensions Cal-Trac bars and split mono-leaf springs.

Good job Casey! Keep up the great work!
