    Tommy started off this stunning performance by clinching the Super Comp class victory with a 8.918 pass at 170.23 MPH. Tommy then hopped in the new-for-2014 Camaro roadster and earned the Super Gas class win with a 9.899 pass at 159.27 MPH.

Ryan "Toaster" Jones traveled all the way from his residence in California back east to South Georgia Motorsports Park so that he could compete in Donald Long's legendary "No Mercy" racing series.  This racing series has proven to be the ultimate national event in small tire heads-up drag racing.  Ryan entered his national-record-holding Chevy II in the Outlaw 8.5 category for the No Mercy 4: "Fight To The Finish" event.  The long hours of travel and intense dedication to his racing program paid off in big dividends with a class victory in Outlaw 8.5 courtesy of a 4.830 E.T. at 157.10 MPH.  All of this was achieved on a tiny set of 235/60-15 M/T Drag Radial tires!  This victory marks the first time that a west coast racer has been victorious in this extremely competitive racing series.

Making this victory even sweeter is the fact that Ryan reset the national E.T. record AGAIN, was the the #1 qualifier for the event, had low E.T. for the event (4.824), and top speed for the event (157.10).  Last but certainly not least, Ryan ran as quickly as a 4.802 E.T. during testing at SGMP prior to race day!  Hughes Performance could not be more proud to be a small part of Ryan's success.  Ryan puts the H.U.R.T. on his competition with a Hughes Performance Heads Up Radial Tire torque converter.  Congratulations Ryan on the outstanding performance and victory!  Thank you for choosing Hughes Performance for your converter program!!!
