Team Zyla continues racing success in 2012

Greg and Tim Zyla defended their 2011 championship and won the 2012 IHRA Summit Series Pro (Mod) Championship at Skyview Drags in New York by 18 round points, scoring five wins and three runner-ups. The Zylas also won the IHRA Summit Series No Box track championship for a second year in a row, winning 25 of their first 30 rounds of racing. The father-son team relies on a GM84 converter for dead-on consistency and improved their 1/8 mile 60-foot times from an average 1.34 to a best of 1.27. Performance wise, the 434 Dart small block went from an average 6.38 e.t. in the eighth to a 6.17 average (6.12 best) and increased top speed from an average of 106.5 to a best of 110.5.
